Welcome to Assignment 6. To successfully complete this assignment, you will need to do substantial research, reading, and studying of the topics. In addition to the assigned readings found in the lesson area, you must conduct your own research using the university databases and other appropriate sources. The Assignment
This week we will take a look at the company’s financial performance. Since all the companies listed in lesson 1 are publicly traded, Google financial statements for the last two years (2017 and 2018 will work). After carefully reviewing the information, please respond to the following:
Part 1
Briefly describe how you will evaluate this company’s performance
How is the company doing financially? How do you know?
Which financial statement do you think provides the best information for investors?
Part 2
Define the following types of business ownership.
Sole Proprietorship
Partnership
Corporation
Limited Liability Company
For each type of ownership listed in #1 above, list the pros (advantages) and cons (disadvantages). Be sure to pay close attention to owner liability and tax treatment for each type of business ownership.
