Threat Intelligence Project
Requirements:
Using yourself, a friend or family member, research them on various social media sites and other information repositories. You can simply Google search the person and findout their internet presence. For the paper and presentation, you do not need to use their real name. Make one up or call them Mr./Ms X, or what ever you like.
Write a one to two page paper about what you found on the person.
Research Summary: Describe your sources of information what types of data you found from those sources.
Results Discussion: Describe what you learned/found about the person. Consider discussing
Where they live
What they do for work or where they go to school
What do they like to do, gamer, athlete, party person, work aholic, academic, etc.
Can you tell who they are friends with or who they work with?
Do not embarrass the person if they may be know to people in the class
Find fun attributes about the person
Discuss how the information could be miss-used
If you wanted to trick them to clicking on a link or file in a phishing email, how would you do it
If you wanted to cause physical harm, attack them or break into their house, is there enough information?
Include one page that lists your research sources. This is not part of the 1-2 page, page count.
