  3. Identify and explain the characteristics of labor markets.

For this assignment, students will reflect on the course learning outcomes listed above. The following components should be addressed in your research paper:

Write a paper on a topic of your choosing on a contemporary economic policy debate, applying Mankiw’s Ten Principles of Economics in your evaluation of this debate. If you cannot find a topic, the instructor can suggest ideas.

You will use the textbook as your guide, but you will also use outside research. Your essay should be 1,000 -1,200 words in length and should include at least five citations. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The sections should be clearly marked with headings, so your instructor knows which points you are addressing. The title page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.
