2. Works Cited – You MUST submit Works Cited entries that document the sources you have used.
3. Citation Quality – Your citations MUST conform to MLA standards.

NOTE: By national standards, this speech is considered a Major Speech – and must be completed as a condition for credit in the course. Students who do not complete a Major Speech can earn no higher than a D for the course.

The challenge of researching both your topic AND how Mediated Communications can affect your presentation. .
The chance to experiment with using audio visual aids in a Mediated Communications setting. experience of using external evidence in a way that is persuasive and credible.
Requirements
Prepare a Topic – You will be choosing a topic and developing a presentation intended for other class members as your audience. You have a good deal of flexibility about choosing your topic.
Conduct Research – You will research your topic using the most appropriate research tools based on your topic. This could include Primary and Secondary Research. You must use at least 5 sources
3 Topic Sources – These are sources that you’ll use as oral citations in your speech
2 Mediated Communications Sources – These are sources that help you understand more about Mediated Communications. Depending on your topic, you may or may not use these as oral citations.

Prepare Outline – You will prepare an outline that follows standard Roman numeral outline formatting.
Prepare a Works Cited Page – You will prepare a page that documents the Works (e.g. books, articles, journals, etc.) using MLA format.
Create or Gather Audio-Visual – You will create or gather Audio-Visual that is purposeful and designed to assist in persuading your intended audience.
