Procurement manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Managing all aspects of the procurement process in support of the Administration’s capital and Operating budget arid the $214,000 major IT projects.
- Developing, soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding all construction, architectural and engineering, consultant, services, maintenance, acoustical, specialized equipment information technology commodities, vehicles, capital equipment, and small procurements for BWI Marshall and Martin State (MTN) Airports, and other airports in the State, ensuring compliance with federal arid State, procurement laws, regulations, policies, procedures BPW advisories, MDOT, MDOT MAA, and Comptroller policies and procedures.
- Responsibility for the Corporate Credit Card Process.
- Exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgment concerning procurement actions and decisions – which could have potentially significant legal and program-related ramifications for the airport users and tenants, MDOT MAA, MDOT, and Maryland’s economy.
- Responsible for the oversite and management of the MDOT MAA Warehouse including inventory management and Agency Procurement Reporting.
- Preferred Qualifications:Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.Experience: Four years of professional public sector procurement, or private sector contracting experience, which includes activities such as soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts, advertising procurement opportunities, distributing specifications to vendors, coordinating bidder evaluation committees, conducting vendor debriefings, monitoring contract performance, procurement management, professional certification or procurement business operations.
