Minimum 5 sources (2 of which MUST be academic)- tertiary source are not appropriate except for definitions if not found in an academic source
Left justified (NOT right justified, NOT full justified)

Be sure to proofread and edit carefully – grammar and spelling count in this assignment. I also expect you to put into practice the specific writing matters we have worked on throughout the semester, such as:
• Titles (proper capitalization; interesting; appropriate)
• Introduction (grabs attention; presents topic)
• Thesis (fully and clearly developed; presents a “roadmap” of the paper)
• Quotes (properly introduced; discussed/analyzed; properly cited)
• Organization/Structure (clear; logical; follows the thesis)
• Evidence (provided from reliable sources; adequately discussed; related to thesis)
• Paragraphs (transition between; one main idea; strong topic sentences)
• Conclusion (does more than simply repeat the thesis)
Attach and use updated PCL to the end of the essay.
Essay grades will be based on items in the bulleted list (second list) along with the following:
1. Improvements made based on feedback (on proposal/Infographic/graded draft)
2. Following the requirements in first list (with arrows) above)
3. Strength of argument, coherence of argument
4. Use of sources
5. Level of writing
6. Demonstrated mastery of basic MLA
