An additional way nurses can influence health care organizations is through productivity. The majority of health care organizations rely on the productivity of nurses to characterize the effectiveness of their organization, and determine how to accomplish future goals (Grand Canyon University, 2018).
Nurse managers and nurse leaders must change along with health care organizations. In addition to preserving patient safety, nurse leaders place emphasis on nursing practice and improving patient outcomes. The duties of nurse managers have come to be crucial due to budget cuts, decreased hospital stays, and advances in medical technology (Kodama & Fukahori, 2017).
