Documentation Requirements:
Use Word for any text based documentation that you create.
Use Microsoft Visio for network diagrams or illustrations.
Use Excel for any table based data.
Network Requirements:
2 subnets located at the Main Corporate site
1 subnet located at the Remote Office site.
1755 hosts on subnet #1 and 100 hosts on subnet #2 at Main.
25 hosts located in the Remote site.
Connection between Main and Remote sites must use public Internet circuits.
Security and performance must be accounted for in all aspects of design.
Cost is a consideration.
Main site is located in Orlando, Florida.
Remote site is located in Farnham, UK.
The only Internet connection will be provided from the Main site to all locations.
Overview:
You are given the task to create the design as outlined above. The design MUST be accurate based on the data provided in ALL aspects.
You will need to create the documentation package that defines the entire project to include equipment needed, costs, design data, implementation steps, and scheduling data.
The goal is for your doc package to be handed to someone such that they could implement the network having only your docs. You have lots of flexibility however your design must be COMPLETE and ACCURATE, including your costs. Initial costs and operating costs of the network must be included.
This project will require a significant amount of time to complete both in design, research, and documentation.
