Module 7 – Australia, Oceania, and Polynesia

On the previous page, you were presented with a list of videos that relate to this module’s readings. Alongside the videos, I included a description of each piece as well as a textbook tie-in. If you have not already done so, please review the videos now.

For this discussion, you will pick two of the pieces that stood out to you the most from the Videos page. In your post below, you will provide the name of each piece and “play” a card of your choosing that relates to each specific piece (two different pieces of music/two different cards). Then, you will talk about why you chose the cards. Finally, you will read/respond to at least one other of your classmate’s posting.

Breakdown of assignment:

1. Watch videos from previous page;
2. Pick two videos that stand out to you;
3. Pick two (different) listening cards below that help describe why the pieces above stood out;
4. In your post, type the name each of the pieces, copy/paste the corresponding listening cards, and discuss (following the specific card guidelines below) why you chose the cards;
5. Post your discussion;
6. Read and respond to at least one other of your classmate’s posting. Responses include: answering a question, asking a question, or contributing to the conversation in a meaningful way (i.e. beyond “cool post” or “I agree”).
