Mental health of Australian Essential workers amidst the Covid-19 pandemic
Students are required to give a 5 to 7 minute oral presentation advocating on behalf of their chosen topic. The objective is for each student to convince the audience to support their desired intervention. As such, while the oral presentation necessitates informing the audience about the topic it also requires advocacy and persuasion on behalf of a cause.
Students will be assessed on their ability to
– Effectively communicate the importance of the topic.
– Convey key scientific information salient to the topic.
– Make a convincing case for the need for further communication on this issue.
– Present in an engaging manner using plain English.
My teacher said that it has to be an Australian issue rather than American. But this health topic is very similar to American issue because Australian essential workers (not healthcare workers but other essential workers) had to go through similar mental distress and challenges what US essential workers are going through. This assignment requires extensive research into this Australian issue so I have given you a week to prepare this presentation.
