Mass media is seen as the mirror that reflects the image of the society because it tries to
disclose all sorts of information ranging from culture, sports, politics, and others to the
community. It is used as a tool that can help the community to stamp some emerging
complications. However, besides the benefits, it is prone to drawbacks that maim its image.
Some sources from various scholars have thus, presented media as a source of celebrity
applauding, the decline in the proper utilization of the language in contemporary society, and the
issue of corruption and sports. Therefore, this paper provides an outline of some of the aspects
that prove the significance of media in the community.
