Mass Media and Crime Research Paper
This course requires each student to submit a Research Proposal. It should be
approximately 8-10 pages in length, written in APA style, typed in Times New
Roman, double spaced, utilizing a 12-point font size.
Students should choose a criminal-justice related topic from the approved list
below, but if you wish to pick a topic not listed, please consult with your Professor.
All students must email the Professor their chosen topic by the end of Week 4
(February 21, 2021).
Research Proposals must include the following sections:
1. Brief introduction
2. Statement of the problem or objective
3. A review of relevant literature (minimum of 3 peer-reviewed journal
articles)
4. Hypothesis
5. Plan for sampling and data collection
6. Plan to analyze data
7. Discussion of policy implications
8. Brief conclusion
9. References
