Assignment 3 – Complete the following sections of your Potential Prospectus:
1. Problem Statement (unresolved problems of theoretical and/or practical significance in the domain covered in the background of the study section).
●  State the general problem you identified through reading the literature.
●  Based on some of the literature reviewed for the background of the study, and given 
what other researchers are exploring, what gap have you identified within the 
literature that you would like your study to address?
●  State the specific problem you are going to study for addressing the identified gap.
2. Purpose of the Study (declaration of the intent of the study, which should be aligned with the problem statement). 
Develop the purpose of your proposed study and start by using terms such as “The purpose of this”:
a.    Qualitative study is to explore, understand, describe,…….
b.    Quantitative study is to examine, analyze, predict,……
i. For mixed methods studies, both terminologies are used 
3. Literature Review Outline – Create an outline for your literature review. You should plan to have a number of sections for your literature review and the larger sections will have subsections. Consider all the pieces that lead up to your topic and create an outline from those pieces. Consider the flow by determining if you will use a chronological or funnel format. Do not forget to include an introduction and conclusion section. Your outline should conclude with an obvious need for your study. You may need to use tools like Word, Inspiration or Mindmup to help with brainstorming for this assignment.
