The intent of this assignment is to test that you understand how a meeting is run, and the standards in Robert’s Rules of Order.the original 1915 version at available at www.robertsrules.org
Background
A meeting of senior library staff has been called to discuss the introduction of the new Outreach Service for Seniors. The purpose of the meeting is to agree on the start date for the new service, appoint a Coordinator of the Outreach Program, approve the budget, agree on the reporting requirements in the first 6 months of operation, and to update the Services Policy document. The meeting can decide what, if any items, to delegate.
The meeting will have 8 attendees:
the Chair,
Vice Chair,
Financial Services Manager,
Secretary,
Outreach Services Senior Manager
, 3 Library technician staff.
Each role will have some requirements that they “play” in the meeting.
Create an agenda for this meeting using Robert’s Rules of Order as a guideline ensuring all 8 participants have a role (and have a chance to voice their opinions). Establish time limits for each agenda item and set a next meeting date, if needed.
The meeting is scheduled to run for no more than 30 minutes.
