Item Development and Learning Objective Evaluation
create a Next Generation NCLEX (NGN)-styled test, based one of the two required textbooks in this course.
The test construction should include an original 20 question test consisting of all NGN type questions.
All questions must be developed in the NCLEX-style format.
The questions must also include the correct answer and rationales for the correct answer, as well as why the distractors are incorrect.
Each question should be evaluated for level of difficulty (5 being most difficult; 1 least difficult) and be identified based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of educational objectives.
Include a 1-2 page reflective narrative at the end of the test that identifies three to five (3-5) learning objectives and how the questions you have developed address those learning objectives.
The narrative portion should be double-spaced, using APA guidelines, and have supportive references.
