Interview a Professional
A great way to increase your network, gain a better understanding of the many aspects of a job, learn what others look for in candidates for a job, and prepare yourself for future interviews, is to interview someone in your chosen profession.
For this assignment you need to contact someone in your chosen profession, (Mark Bolden) and request an informational interview. While interviewing someone face-to-face is the preferred option, the interview can take place in person, (yes person to person) over the phone, or via email. When interviewing your chosen professional, ask questions that will help you learn about the person, the position, and the profession as a whole (the profession is Athletic Director of a High School).
The first paragraph should provide an introduction about the person you interviewed including the person’s name, current position, and organization for which he/she works(Putnam City West High School), and why you chose to interview this person (because i attend this school and looked up them them as a choach). The body of the paper should summarize what you learned during the interview. This should NOT be presented in a question and answer format; it must be presented in a narrative (paragraph) format. Your conclusion should cover how what you learned might help you in your future endeavors.
