What is reflection?
The purpose of this reflective journal is to provide you with an opportunity to look at the
process of learning in the context of this course. For this assignment, it is recommended that
you regularly journal your experiences of the course. Reflective journaling is a process that
takes time and practice to master. As a guide for writing reflective journals, you may like to
draw on Gibbs’ Reflective Model.

reflective writing is presented in this class recording. Please review this to ensure you
understand in detail the approaches to good reflective writing.
What we expect from you:
Based on your reflections over the semester, choose two journal entries to submit. You must
also include a short rationale (300-400 words) detailing why you have chosen these reflections.
Examples of topics you may want to write about reflectively could include:
• Areas you feel you and/or your team could develop more knowledge.
• How you (and your team) solved the intellectual challenges in this course, especially in
assignments 2 and 3, and what you learnt from your problem identification strategy.
• Teamwork during this course and the CATME peer evaluation.
• Critical lessons from your classroom and teamwork experiences, and any future
implications.
