After the learning sessions on tobacco use among teenagers, the students will be able to list at least two factors that increase the vulnerability of teenagers to using tobacco (Simantov et al., 1027).

Secondly, learners will identify at least five risk factors related to teenage tobacco use through discussions. Students will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the risks by identifying teenage tobacco use prevalence.

Thirdly, students will apply the knowledge acquired on teenage tobacco use and use this knowledge to develop at least two specific interventions crucial for reducing adolescent smoking.

Teaching Strategies

Students will attend lectures during the day to get an overview of the topic under study (Rahmati et al., n,d). Also, they will take part in class demonstrations which include practically engaging in techniques of health education. Besides, group discussions will allow students to make comparisons in their understanding and knowledge gathered in class, thus help one another grasp the content better.

Materials

Learning and teaching materials most relevant in this case are the use of projectors to illustrate information during lectures, maps, flashcards, and review already written literature on population health for further insights.

Evaluation

The evaluation approach will take the form of tests to gauge whether or not students paid attention (Billings et al., n.d). Questions in this scenario may ask students to define population health and issues around it. Secondly, participation and attendance gauging as an evaluation strategy provide for understanding whether or not students are active during the lesson.
