This Comparison-Contrast Essay exemplifies a writer’s efforts from and work on the C-C outline. (MLA format is required for the essay.)

Criteria

Compare and Contrast

Introduction
When thinking about children growing up we want the best for them, and preparing the children for the best possible future is deciding on where they will go to school.
Generally, there are two options, parents either send their children to public school or choose homeschool.
Although public school and homeschooling share many similarities, including content learned, they differ in characteristics such as socialization and flexibility.

Body Paragraph One
Most families choose to send their children to public schools, yet others chose to homeschool because they don’t agree with the teachings or surroundings in such schools.
Analysis: both have content that is required/ learned
Example: lessons taught are the same in both environments
Significance: in both settings, the teacher/ educator or parent is responsible for the teachings and making sure the child is learning
Analysis: both require testing
Example: public schooling and homeschooling test over material taught.
Significance: required to know the material that is taught.
However, the socialization and flexibility between homeschooling and public schooling are very different.

Body Paragraph Two
Many parents look toward public school as a natural option, but homeschooling gives parents and students a different setting that has a wide range of benefits.
Analysis: socialization
Example: public schooling experience socialization with many different people: homeschooling doesn’t experience socialization as much.
Significance: public schooling provides you with social skills: homeschooling you will lack social skills.
Analysis: flexibility
Example: public schooling is based on a set schedule/curriculum: homeschooling, children can go at their own pace.
Significance: public schooling has a set schedule: homeschooling can control their own daily schedule.
Meanwhile, only you can decide if homeschooling or public schooling is for your child.

Conclusion
They may differ in their school lives and schedules, public schooling, and homeschooling are both ways that children learn and experience the world around them.
Homeschooling and public schooling each have advantages and disadvantages.
It might be difficult to choose between the two: Making the right choice depends on how your child learns, and what you would like him or her to learn. Keeping the best interest of your child in mind makes the decision clearer.
