the contact is first made when the patient receives a referral for services from the department via a consult order for cardiology consultation.
Explain that the appointment are made via telephone is primary mode of communication from patients/families with the department until the day of appointment. Calls made for scheduling and reminder calls. education for the next day testing what to expect. etc.
