Greek Mythology Gods, Heroes and Mortals 1,500 word essay

Hi this is a 1,500 word essay for a university second student year for the topic Greek Mythology: Gods, Heros and Mortals. its due on the 29th of May 2014

Question: Identify and discuss the main characteristics of the Greek Heroes.
Essay instructions:
Write a short and cohesive introduction where you state your argument in a clear manner.
Finish the essay with a short conclusion where you present your findings without repetition. Focus on the analysis and build your argument step by step.
Base your argument on either 3 or 4 points following closely the essay question.
Give examples in order to make your analysis more substantial. Use a minimum of 4 different resources.
If you use the internet please include the date you accessed the webpage.
Remember that for an essay of 1,500 words, the introduction and the conclusion should be a total of about 400 words.
The rest of the words (approximately 1,100) should be devoted to the analysis of your argument. Remember correct spelling, grammar and use proper sentences.

•You should use the designated secondary material for the Task, and use it in a way that demonstrates that you have understood it and are able to integrate it into an original discussion of your own.
•You should consider going beyond the secondary material provided and show evidence or further reading/research in your Reading Tasks.
•You should answer the question. However the question aims to provoke an intelligent response, not to elicit a particular ‘right’ answer.
•Develop your own original argument. Think critically and avoid too much description.
•Your argument should develop logically (i.e. your points should relate to your central question/argument).
•Your explanations should be as clear as possible and straight to the point. The sooner you get to the point, the easier it will be for you to develop/explore it.
•You should include evidence (quotations or examples) from the text to support your argument. •Please be aware that we take a very grim view of plagiarism, so familiarise yourself with what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.
•Your work should be free from spelling and grammatical errors(use spell-check; proof read your work; read it aloud; ask someone to proof read it for you).
•Your writing should be freefrom clichés and easy to follow/understand.

this is pretty much what i was given to write the essay. any problems just let me know ill also find out if there is any other important information.

The Penguin Book of Classical Myths might be a good resource to use. and im uploading some other online books that may be helpful. try keep the essay simple and easy to read.

some heroes weve discussed in class and had to read about them in the penguin book are Jason and the Argonauts pg 136-157 , Odysseus pg 390-426, Achillies pg 294-389, Theseus pg 229-263 and Hercules and his deeds pg 184-228.
