The topic of this essay is a genealogy of beauty from Greek pederasty to contemporary kink culture. This essay will be part of a broader book concerning kink culture and its contribution to aesthetics. I will provide an abstract file to give you a sense of the project. I asked for up to 100 sources for the citations, but I do not need that many, and I would like you to choose from my bibliography file only. The major players I would like you to focus on are Catherine Robbe-Grillet, Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, and Jun’ichirō Tanizaki as writers of intensity and beauty, as well as artists Marina Abramović, Denki Akechi, Nobuyoshi Araki, Ron Athey, Judy Chicago, Sheree Rose, Tenmyouya Hisashi, Mona Hatoum, Seiu Ito, Kinoko Hajime, Garth Knight, Zee Maitri, Carolee Schneemann, Emma Sulkowicz and Ellen von Unwerth.
This genealogy should be concerning the following philosophers: Kant (analytic philosophy), Nietzsche, Foucault and Deleuze, representing a continental philosophical approach to beauty.
I DO NOT want a history lesson here but rather a genealogy like that of Nietzsche.
