P: Point (P). Make the Point – which is an idea or an opinion. This is the topic sentence.
I: Information: (I). Explain the Point with any Information/Illustration which supports your Point. The information is the evidence used to support/develop the point.
E: Example: Explain the Point. This is the Explanation, which provides analysis based on the Illustration/Information. The explanation is the writer’s analysis, elaboration, evaluation of the point and information given, connecting the information with the point (topic sentence) and the thesis. How is this evidence relevant to your thesis?
Write down the following
I. Using the topic you are giving make an argumentative thesis statement which expresses a specific opinion/position on the topic

II. Choose a thesis from above and write an engaging introduction using the following outline:
