Discussion 6: Ethics in Consulting

This is an exercise that explores values and ethics in consulting. After reading the assignment, we will discuss what goes into a decision to act on one’s values by challenging each other with realistic situations.

For your initial post create a story that demonstrates an ethical dilemma for a consultant. Do not provide an answer to the dilemma and make it as difficult as possible. Once you have written your story, write out how the dilemma could be resolved but do not post that.

Keep in mind that a dilemma is choice between two seemingly hard alternatives. For example, Do I use most of my life savings to pay for my 20-year old son to enter drug rehabilitation, or do let him fend for himself since he is an adult and has already caused me untold emotional grief.
