The video series we will watch for our section on planetary geology is called BBC “The Planets”. You will need to order the dvd’s or view them online to participate in the discussion boards. Even though we have detailed information on the planets now, it took centuries to unlock the mysteries (and there are many more to go!). This series is unique because it documents our exploration of the planets and their moons, the sun, and the formation of our solar system. It lets you meet the scientists who actually made the discoveries. You’ll hear their first-hand accounts, and hopefully gain a greater appreciation for all of the work they have done. Watch the video and post a thread and comments on any of the following questions. You should answer at least 5 questions, and reply to at least 2 students with your thoughts. If you do not use the videos as your primary source and refer to them in your answers, you won’t receiagnve credit for the discussion
