In this assignment, you are a new patrol officer, and you have been given a task by your field training officer (FTO). This task is to demonstrate your understanding of the basic elements of criminal offenses that must be met before you make an arrest.

Instructions
For this assignment, you will need to create a criminal state statute report that:

Selects five criminal state statutes from your state’s online criminal statutes.
Provides the following information for each of the five selected criminal state statutes:
State Statute Number & Title
State Statute Language
Elements of the Offense
Category of each crime: Misdemeanor or felony
Explain the features of each crime.
Summarizes how understanding the elements and application of criminal state statutes is important for exhibiting principles of ethical conduct and professional behavior.
Cites at least one credible source in APA format.
Uses professional language with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation in criminal state statute report.

Features of Burglary: Intent(i.e. causation) is a required element of burglary; resulting harm of burglary is to an individual: the crime is outlawed by the State of Wisconsin;conviction can result in 10 years prison; and there are no attendant circumstances.
