Covid -19 and data reporting

Pick an issue that interests you. Start with the problem you’re interested in solving. Review the list that I have provided for topics. In addition, you may want to incorporate examples of potential problems (https://sites.google.com/trinity.edu/healthcare-prism/details-guidelines? authuser=0) to try to solve include: appointment management, budgeting, case management, care transitions, chronic disease management, clinical operation, clinician engagement, disease management, discharge processes, high cost of healthcare services, finance, human resources, informal caregiving, inventory management, leadership, limited access to healthcare services, mental and behavioral health, pandemic response, patient engagement, patient experience, patient navigation, patient transportation, practice management, price transparency, social determinants of health, technology, workforce education, workforce stress, and so much more.
Conduct research on potential solutions to this problem. Don’t limit yourself to peer-reviewed journals; they’re great for academic papers, but I want this assignment to be more than that. It’s more important to me that you know how to teach individuals outside of academia about a new topic. People don’t read peer-reviewed journal articles for fun (I mean I might…but I’m a little different that way). They look for information on YouTube, Wikipedia, Reddit, etc. The way we take in information has changed. So, it’s important to look beyond just text. Look for images, short videos, podcasts to help make your Sway page interesting. Just make sure that they are reliable resources (don’t quote Wikipedia, but maybe Wiki will send you to a primary source that has the same information!).
Next, consider the most optimal solution. This will be the bulk of your project. You’re proposing a solution to the problem you are interested in. I’m not looking for a list of potential solutions, but rather for you to give me ONE specific solution and tell me the details about it. Your topic should include an administrative aspect of the healthcare system and be something that could be implemented by a healthcare organization to solve this problem.
Compile your sources and be sure to include the following parts in your Sway page: Introduction to Topic – as part of your introduction card, you are required to incorporate a short (5-minute maximum 4.5-minute minimum) FlipGrid video that is a recording of yourself in a single take (no video editing) with you standing up (no sitting down) that presents your Sway page. This video will introduce your topic by explaining the problem and what is your proposed solution. This FlipGrid video will also serve as your final presentation and will also be graded separately. You will create after your introductory video card a card for each of the following topics:
Introduction of Problem – Explain what the problem is and what does the current evidence report about this problem. Why did you pick this topic? (What evidence is there to support that this is a problem)?
Background – Explain the history or provide context as to how this problem became a problem?
Population Health – What populations does this affect? Does this problem occur in a specific geographic region? Is it a hot spot problem?
Costs – How has this health care problem affected people, programs, governments, NGOs financially? Are there any financial incentives for studying this problem? Helping to eradicate this problem?
Quality of Healthcare – Does this health care problem affect quality? How does it? Does it affect the quality of life?
Healthcare Informatics– How is health care informatics involved with this particular health care problem? Is healthcare informatics a factor in this problem?
Potential Solutions: Is there current research being done to solve this problem? How will your research and your solution help to solve the problem? Explain your potential solution to this problem?
Implications – What is the potential impact? Significance of change?
