Assignment 4: Midterm Project-

Part 2: Case Study (Juanita or Fred) (18%)

Choose a student, Juanita or Fred, to focus on for this assignment. Details of each case are found on Canvas. Once you have chosen a focus student, you will write a 6 to 8-page paper in APA format addressing each of the topics described below.
The page count does not include title page or bibliography. Y
ou will support your ideas with academic research about various aspects of the behavior, intervention, outcome, appropriateness, and the maintenance of using the intervention.

Behavioral Challenges: Describe the student’s behavior challenges. Define the behaviors using the criteria for defining behavior from the IRIS module that you completed.

Behavioral Interventions: Describe the behavioral interventions that the student received. Discuss the research that supports these interventions using at least two academic resources.

Behavioral Outcomes: Describe the student’s behavioral outcomes after he/she received the behavioral intervention. How will you maintain the student’s appropriate behavior(s)?

Provide at least one academic reference about maintaining this behavior.

Conclusion:
In what circumstances might you foresee using this intervention? What are some downsides of these interventions?
Are there cultural, ethnic, and/or gender considerations to using this intervention?
Does this intervention appeal to you? Why or why not. Provide at least one academic reference on research to the downsides of this behavior.

1. Conclusion:  Make sure that you have addressed each of the questions that are to be included in this section.

2. Academic Integrity and correct citations: Reread your entire paper and make sure that you have provided appropriate credit to the ideas and words that you have used to support your ideas.
TEXT THAT IS WORD-FOR-WORD copied from someone else must follow APA (and Touro Academic Guidelines). Just changing the order of a sentence, or a word here there does not meet the APA paraphrasing standard.

3. In-text Citations and Bibliography: Make sure that every citation that you include in your paper has a complete reference in your Bibliography.

4. Final read-throughs:

a) Read for flow and content. Is the story about the behavior of your student providing an understandable story?
Do each of your sections answer the questions posed in the directions for this assignment? Did you use the bold subheadings to guide your text?

b) Read for mechanics. Now read it again with an eye for grammatical issues, punctuation, spelling, etc. Are there sentences that would be more understandable if they were shorter? Do you include explanations of any acronyms that you use?

c) Read for APA formatting: With an APA online resource open in one window,  review the formatting components (spacing, headings, pagination, title page, bibliography, etc.). Did you use the bold subheadings to guide your text?

5. Final draft:

a) Remove any extraneous notes from this version of your paper.
