This week’s paper should be written in APA style and be 2-3 content pages plus one page for the timeline spreadsheet (single-spaced). A word table might be best for constructing a general timeline. Also, refer back to your Week 2 stakeholder analysis and the interests you uncovered and include anticipated contingencies addressed in Week 5 to keep your timeline on track. For example, utilize the stakeholders that will support your endeavor to carry out some of the tasks. Develop ways to engage and gain the support of stakeholders likely to resist the plan to help engage them in a positive way. Drawing on the insights provided by Sobo ., 2008 and Fineran and Matson, 2010, you will provide brief operations plan to implement your project. This week’s paper should include the following elements of a strategic plan:
A brief overview of your project and any changes you decided to make in regard to your focus.
Identify the roles of people or organizations involved in making your plan come to fruition. Include what they will need to support the plan e.g. outline of an education program, documentation tools, communication strategies, etc. and how they can support your needs to implement your project. This is the who, what, where, when, and how necessary to move your plan forward. Include descriptions of critical elements or implementation phases such as the procurement of resources, announcements, training, and “go live” etc. Be specific and detailed in terms of what milestones must come first and who needs to be involved and to what extent. You may include actual dates or a more generic time frame for each phase of your implementation.
Identify the people that will be affected by your plan. Include an outline of expectations and any content to be communicated and how it will be delivered to key stakeholders.
Develop a draft of a timeline for your project in an excel spreadsheet and include it in your word document. You may liberally estimate these timelines. Consider the following: What steps need to be taken, and in what order, when do any capital equipment or supplies, need to be ordered? How long will it take to arrive?
How long and when will stages of communication and education program take?
How long before documentation tools can be made available?
Identify when do you anticipate going live with your plan.
