There are often barriers when implementing a project in the community. It is essential to identify them and anticipate them since they might dictate the process of your project or program (Stolee et al., 2010). These barriers might slow the process; thus, it is essential to brainstorm them for the program’s success. The barriers that need brainstorming are; a lousy history that exists of such programs that failed after the community deployed much of their effort with no benefit. In such a community, the program might face rejection. Convincing members of the effectiveness of the program will address the barrier. Education also plays a crucial role in helping community members of the benefit of the project.

The second issue is the turf issue of sharing its work with other funding organizations. The might will be to convince several organizations to work together to address community health issues. This will address the barrier of finance where the project will have enough financial resources to implement and sustain project. In addition, working as a team towards a common goal increases reliability where the program will ensure that they are accountable for the resources other organizations invested.

Failure to plan leads to the collapse of the program. Failure to have effective leadership within the program increases the risk of the program failing. There is a need for the program first to have effective leadership that will ensure coordination and facilitation of the program. It also provides that there are responsive community leaders who link the program with the community.

The organization also identifies other organizations to work with and shares its work with them to convince them. The second step is goal and objective setting. Set goals and objectives should be smart, meaning that they should be specific, measurable, achievable, and timely, and achievable. The third step is the implementation of the proposed strategies. Projects are faced with barriers that need to be identified and anticipated. If not addressed, they might take over the project process and facilitated its failure. Human health is crucial, and in promoting community health, the project at hand need to be prepared to ensure the healthy living condition of the community members.
