Biotransport project
The project report should be 5 pages + title page + references / citations / appendix (if applicable)
Title page should contain the group members and the topic covered, including the class and term (Spring 2021)
The report should contain the following sections (length of sections are to give you an idea):
1/2 page abstract summarizing your project
Introduction: Need for evaluating heat transfer for a habitat and mars-suit on Mars (1/2 page)
Description of your habitat and mars suit design, including materials, thicknesses of each layer (if applicable), thermal properties of all relevant materials (conductivity, etc) (1 page)
Heat transfer calculations: how would your design function to maintain a temperature of 70 F inside the habitat and mars-suit, especially given the wide range of temperatures in the Martian environment (1 page)
Complications and issues (1/2 page)
Your ideas to improve the design, materials and improvement in heat transfer calculations / estimations. This can be outside the box, but you should justify why your idea might work. (1 page)
Conclusion and summary (not more than 1/2 page)
There should be appropriate citations and references (not Wikipedia)
Caption all figures and tables, cite them where applicable
Include detailed calculations and scripts / code (if applicable) in the appendix
Page limits will be strictly enforced – any extra pages will result in points lost
