Content
The Proposal/Implementation should be based on your the journal article, implementable in your workplace, and have the following sections:
The Introduction should include your own research questions or hypotheses, the important empirical and theoretical background information (pull from your article), and the rationale for your study (e.g., how would this improve your workplace?).
Note: Make sure you use the past tense and are clear when you are referring to something the authors did, said, or included. (Correct: “The authors discussed prior research that found self-concept predicted nursing self-efficacy.” Incorrect: “Research suggests self-concept predicts nursing self-efficacy.”)
The Methods section should include the research design and intervention, the sampling approach and sample characteristics, and the main variables and how they were measured. For the intervention section, describe how you will create the change to make a difference in your variables of interest.
Note: Although you should specify your research design, this may be beyond what we have learned in this class. You are not expected to go into great detail. However, you do need to understand the what type of design you should use for your study. I am happy to talk through this portion of your article with you.
In Data Analysis section, choose a data analysis strategy to answer your research questions affectively. This includes picking a statistical analysis that is appropriate based on your variables and questions. Explain why that your strategy makes sense and how it will answer your questions.
Rely first and foremost on the assignment instructions and grading rubric (included below).
