Section 1: what is Artificial Intelligence
Write a one paragraph on the definitions of artificial intelligence and machine learning and the different types of machine learning algorithms used in the business world today.
Section 2 : Applications of Machine learning in your selected industry
Write two paragraphs on two applications of MACHINE LEARNING in your selected industry. As an MIS student, you should give details on the architecture of the algorithm and how it operates.
Section 3: Problem Statement
Choose a specific problem in the industry that can be solved by machine learning
Describe the problem
Write a one-sentence problem statement explaining the issue that needs to be resolved
Impact on the industry
What is the impact of the problem on the industry? Increase in expenses, loss of profit, loss of customers, …
List any statistics you may find for the impact of the problem in Qatar, globally, or both.
Explain how machine learning helps the company solve the problem.
Make sure to provide the type of ML (supervised vs unsupervised and the specific application of ML like associations, clustering, time series, neural networks, …) and how the ML algorithms work.
Section 4: Practical Demonstration
Use Data and an ML tool to demonstrate how the technology can solve the problem
Download data from the web or get access to data from a company in your industry.
Define the structure of the data file (this should be a data dictionary with the meta data of the file)
Download a tool to conduct ML. You can use SAP Predictive Analytics, R Studio, Python or any other tool of your choice.
Upload the data to the tool and run The ML algorithm
Screen Capture the output and add it to your report.
Explain the output and implications of the results to the company in terms of solving the problem and add it as the final paragraph in the report.

Instructions :
This project must be completed individually.
Write your name and ID number on the report’s first page.
Your report must have the same sections outlined above.
All reports MUST be submitted as MS Word file (No PDF file will be accepted) via the SafeAssign in the Blackboard to allow for plagiarism check, which MUST NOT exceed 15%.
Use annotated screen captures of the output of the ML algorithm you used for solving the problem to demonstrate your technical capabilities and understanding in operating and explaining ML .
Number of pages: 3 – 5.
Font type: Times New Roman, Font size: 12. Line spacing: 1.5.
Failure to follow the above-mentioned instructions leads to losing some marks.
