Analysis paper
Hi my friend, I have a new assignment about the last two papers 1) by gange1993, and 2) by Keith 2006, we choose me and you for the previous assignment (The Annotated Bibliography complete draft).
NOTE: For this week I have to do only the first part #1) (with script for each slide for my professor to show her what am planning to say for each slide), then after I asked my professor about the slides and get a feedback about it, I will ask you to improve the slides and do a speaking notes for each slide in a way like you presenting the slides, so I can use it exactly tp present each slide and starting from the beginning.
-The Draft of visual aids & script, is due Thursday July 1st at noon and if you finish it earlier that would be great, so I can check them and make sure that everything is good.
-So, for this assignment I have to do three things based on the two papers:
- Draft of visual aids & script- 5 pts.
DRAFT- VISUAL AIDS & SCRIPT (5 pts.), TURN IN a draft of your slides along with a script of what you plan to say for each slide.
2): Video recording(.mp4file)-10pts.
VIDEO RECORDING (10 pts.), Before you record, obtain feedback from me (Dr. Slate) on the draft of your slides and on your script! (If you want to work ahead and record early, then let me know and I will provide early feedback.)
3): Watch classmates’ recordings and provide feedback-3pts.
PROVIDE FEEDBACK TO CLASSMATES (3 pts.), A fun part of this assignment will be to watch one another’s videos. After the videos are submitted, I will set up discussion groups for you to be able to give and will obtain helpful feedback from your classmates.
-For this week I have to start with #1 and do Draft of visual aids & script:
-So first I have to make creative slides based on the two papers we both choose (me and you), and pick only two figures, one from each paper, with some additional pictures or images to make the presentation more engaged, you can do that as my professor said (Insert diagrams, drawings, and/or photos throughout your slides. Images help to engage an audience and can make complex ideas more easily grasped. Be sure to provide the source (e.g., website URL) of any images that you did not create yourself).
-Important: I’m not very sure what figure I can choose from each paper (I have to choose one from each paper, and I was thinking to choose Fig 1. from by Keith 2006, and fig 4. from gange1993), and I feel these two figures are more connected and they show how Mycorrhizal fungal richness can affect the plant biodiversity). So, what do you think, please give me your opinion and tell me if you have a better idea.
–After the draft and after I get a feedback from my professor, we can talk about the second part #2 so you can improve the slides for me and make a new good speaking notes for the slides so I can use it exactly to do video presentation.
–The third step of the assignment, I have to watch other student video’s and give a feedback, and we will talk about that later.
