part of the problem

• Several instances of incomplete sentences.
• Dearth of actual studies discussed. Primarily theories and frameworks.
• Why is there a paragraph 2.4 Theoretical Framework within the Chapter 2 Theoretical
Framework?
• Thin discussion of issues with linear economy.
• Doesn’t adequately differentiate re-use from re-take, or from other CE loops/strategies. Yes,
totally agree
• Findings used to justify use of a theory are often uncited.
• Improper application of theories to current situation (TCA & agency theory)
• Agency theory incorrectly cited and described/applied
• Some citations not included (e.g., Eisenhardt, 1989)
• Theoretical model unclear, lacking specificity.
• Relationship between theories and subquestions somewhat unclear (e.g., previous studies of
capabilities for implementing CE not included/addressed). SRQ2&3 needs to be answered
from the literature, not actual empirical data. The only theory discussed that seems to relate
to capabilities is contingency theory.
• The biggest missing part of the chapter is an analysis, as the student was instructed to do, of
previous research on capabilities needed to implement circular business strategies.
