Good evening, everyone. It is an honor to be here with all of you this evening talking about the importance and benefits of education. Education is a fundamental human right that should be freely available to every person in our world regardless of their race, religion or financial status.

Education can help us build better lives for ourselves and those around us by offering increased opportunities across many aspects such as employment prospects, community development, health awareness and quality of life overall. Despite being one basic need it is denied to millions due to poverty or pre-existing gender inequalities in some parts of the world which mainly affects women and girls in a social context. This lack of access makes them vulnerable where they are unable to move away from oppressive cycles – from poverty levels that keep rising whilst at the same time becoming uneducated leading on into further problems like early marriage or childbirths .
