The steps of computing the variable entail

Step 1- In the compute variables dialog window, click the “Transform” > “Compute Variable”.

Step 2- In the “Target Variable” field, type any_Yes Variable.

Step 3- In the “Numeric Expression” box, enter,

The Results

The above table explicitly shows the results based on the survey carried out in a school inquiring the students regarding their security at school. Based on the analysis of the any_Yes results, it is explicit that the school management should increase the security level to ensure effective and authentic of the students, as some students feel that the school is not safe, thus not fully efficient for learning.

Notes on SPSS steps and decision options with the process of creating composite measures.

As per the results, by specifying the LTOHC as the column variable has caused the variable to appear at the top of the table with its attributes, and on the other hand, declaring the COSRs as the row variable has caused it to appear at the left side of the table with its attributes constituting the rows of the table. The table thus explicitly demonstrates the logic that operates the within the system of responses of the teacher regarding the need for the creation of school rules regarding the conduct of students in their academic sector.
