How The Western Australian Cultural Infrastructure Framework 2030+ Policy Will Impact The Creative Industries In The Country.
The research seeks to analyze the Western Australian Cultural Infrastructure framework 2030+ Policy. It is a policy by the government of Western Australia aimed at enhancing the activities in arts and creativity in the state. The research will look at the factors that contributed to the formation of the bill. Therefore, the research will involve utilizing government documents and other literature that will contribute to the findings on matters pertaining to the concept of creative industries, level of inventiveness, culture, and arts in Australia.

Contrarily, the research will also aid in pointing out whether the creative industries play a role in economic growth. With that, the research will reveal the evolution that has been witnessed in the same industries over the years. Accordingly, the study seeks to identify whether the government put efforts in place to support cultural and creative industries. The study will utilize the symbolic interactionism theory that posits that individuals counter to aspects of their overall environments based on the subjective definitions they attach to those elements. Therefore, the creation and modification of those elements are achieved through interaction with other individuals (Mardon et al., 2021). In the same way, creative industries can offer economic benefits through the interaction of various elements.

Consequently, the research will engage in debates on how cultural and also creative sectors can enhance human advancement in this modern era. Palanivel (2019) highlighted that the industry could empower individuals to take proprietorship of their individual development and fuel innovation, resulting in growth sustainability. The debate is expected to shed light on the areas that need improvement in creative industries.

The primary material for the research is the publication of the Government of Western Australia on the proposed bill. The research will analyze how the mentioned government will facilitate arts, creativity, and culture. The key secondary sources will be the article by Granpayehvaghei et al. (2019) on the quest for creative industries and the article by Daniel (2019) on the creative process. The two articles will aid by putting the concept of creative industries into perspective.

This proposal shows an attempt of identifying a possible topic for your final essay. The scope of your research, however, is still too broad and its relevance to cultural policy is not clear. You need to narrow down and define more explicitly the themes that you will be analysing in relation to a specific time and place. What cultural policy phenomenon will you be looking at? Why? What do you expect to find? You need to clarify your tentative argument and tell me more explicitly how your conceptual framework will help you analyse the specific topic of your choice. I would recommend you spend some time on planning the structure of the final essay, deciding what will be your primary theme (with a clear argument), and how the other themes will inform your central argument accordingly. Your proposed primary source seems to be relevant to your discussion, but I wonder what aspects of the documents you will be analysing and why. What do you expect to find? How is it contributing to the articulation of your discussion? While you provide some interesting secondary material, I am unclear on how these readings will support your research. What concepts/perspectives do they offer that might be helpful to your essay? How so? I would like to see more clearly what debates you will be engaging with, why are they relevant to cultural policy debates, how they can contribute to have a more nuanced understanding of your chosen topic and how you will be positioning yourself in relation to these debates. I wonder if you could focus on one or two case studies relevant to your topic to show how specific conditions inform particular enactments of cultural policy on the ground.
