Topic: The three significant events that shaped my life

Textbook: Experience Human Development 14th edition by Diane Papalia
1st event – was when my eldest daughter passed away because of rheumatic fever in 2014. The saddest thing was I wasn’t here when it happened. I was in New Zealand for some family matters. When my mother called saying that my daughter was in a coma. I flew back three days later and I knew she was gone. It was devastating because she was my angel and she was what I called my first love. It led to my divorce and I was glad that I divorced that man. Our marriage wasn’t all that good until my daughter left. I realized it was time to leave; I am done. He was a player but the only reason why I stuck around was because of my daughter and I knew how close she was to the both of us. I didn’t want to be the cause of her death. So when she died, I left. And of course, I remarried in 2016. And I am happy with my life now.
2nd event – was when my mother had a stroke and she’s still bedridden in2018. I am her caregiver and provider. If I go to work, my husband is the one that looks after her. It’s sad because she was like a best friend and missed talking to her every day. She’s still here but it’s not the same
3rd event -was when my father passed away in 2019 on his home island. He didn’t even say goodbye
