The article “Gender and Technology: Women’s Usage, Creation and Perspectives” describes the contributions women have made to technology, particularly computing. In this essay, explain the role of women in helping develop computer technology and then explain why you think those contributions have been erased. Further, using the article “Misogynist Movements: Men’s Rights Activists and Gamergate,” explain what harassment against women in gaming and online media looks like and why men’s groups participate in it. Finally, I want you to create a short argument you would make to these men’s rights activists to help them understand why we need equity in digital media and online gaming.
There are three major components to this question.

Explain what they are
how/if they harass women online and in gaming
Women in technology
What have their contributions been
How have they been erased
Using all of this information create a short persuasive pitch (maybe 1page of your total essay) for MRA groups
Try to use data and class materials to convince them women deserve a place in online gaming/digital media
Think about how you would phrase it for that particular audience
