RESEARCH PAPER GUIDELINES

1. Choose a topic of interest related to business strategy or strategic management (which I already chose Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategies) Note: you cannot do a case study of one organization nor a practical “how-to” report without any theoretical foundation.

2. Within the topic chosen, generate interesting research questions for your study (see “Sample Research Questions”). To do so, it’s best to start out by reading articles from leading journals and periodicals in the field (see “Leading Journals”). These readings should help you identify the pressing issues that businesses face today, and they may form
the basis of your research inquiry.

4. Do the necessary research, gather all readings and data, and keep a complete record of all sources used.

5. Develop an outline of your paper (see “Outline of Paper & Further Instructions”).

6. Proceed to write the paper following the outline that you have developed. Use your research question(s) as the main guide to what to include in the paper. Follow the 80/20 rule, i.e., at least 80% of the content of your paper must be directly related to your research question(s).

7. All figures and tables must be put at the end of the paper under an APPENDICES section. There should be no figures and tables placed inside the text. Each figure or table must have a title, a reference at the bottom, be numbered sequentially (e.g. Figure 1, 2, and so on), and mentioned inside the text.

8. References are critical. There must be a minimum of 10 references used in the paper, the majority of which must come from peer-reviewed journals (see “Leading Journals”) and should not be older than 5 years. References must be cited in-text as well as end-of-text and they should exactly match. References should follow the APA style guide.

PROPOSED TITLE OF PAPER: Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategies

What topic area or subject do you propose to explore? Why is this topic important?
I propose to explore how the businesses can use AI to deliver strategic objectives and why they need to develop and prioritize their AI Business strategies now. I firmly believe this topic is important because these efforts aim to increase competitiveness, optimize processes, and drive better outcomes for businesses and industries. In my judgment, AI represents a tool that translates data into better experiences and more loyalty today. It is making a better bottom line for the businesses.
What is the purpose of your study? Provide the background for your research and state the problem you propose to investigate.
Analyzing the importance, advantages, disadvantages, effects (for companies) of Artificial Intelligence strategies.
What is the theoretical foundation of your work?
To understand some of the deeper concepts, such as machine learning, data mining, natural language processing and natural network, and driving software.
What is your research question (or questions)?
What are AI applications, and how are they accelerating business transformation?
How can AI be used to gain competitive advantage?
What are the advancements in tools and technologies to support enterprise trust, security, and explainability needs for AI?
What are the leading machine learning and deep learning use cases for enterprises?
What research method(s) do you propose to answer your research question(s)?
I am going to read some case studies, reviews, and article and do analysis.
What references have you located so far to support your research plans? Provide at least one article from the journal list given by instructor.
