Ancient Egypt Culture
The Ancient Egyptians were located along river Nile in northeast Africa which was the source of most of the wealth that the culture had. The Ancient Egyptians started to practice irrigation due to the presence of the river and made them grow crops that gave them profit. The Ancient Egypt culture was a culture that was rich in culture including the arts, religion, government, and writing. The culture bounded the government and religion since Pharaoh who was the leader of the government was also the leader of the Ancient Egypt religion. The men and women of Ancient Egypt wore makeup since they all believed that makeup had some healing power and it protected their skin from sun (“World history,” n.d.). The Pharaoh was the leader and he always kept his hair covered and it was never seen by regular people. The Ancient Egyptians were very knowledgeable since they were mathematicians and scientists. They also practiced writing on different artifacts that bored certain meaning. The Ancient Egyptians practiced building, formed a calendar, invented and used different musical instruments, and cosmetics. The Ancient Egypt plays a crucial role in the Bible since it is believed that the Israelites who were kept as slaves were led by their leader who was called Moses. Around 700BC, the Ancient Egyptian Empire begun to weaken since there were different civilizations that managed to conquer them.
Goals in Researching the Culture
The goals I have in researching this culture are to have a deeper understanding of their origin and how they came to evolve over the years. The other goal is to get a foundation with which I can carry out my further research on the culture. Understanding the culture of the Ancient Egyptians can make me understand more ways which I can appreciate the people who belong to that culture.
