Each student is assigned two dates on which they will be responsible for investigating and sharing information about a past software development project with the rest of the class. Prior to class time on your assigned day, you will locate information about a software development project undertaken by a private or public organization. Information about such projects can be found at various “trade journal” web sites such as Computerworld.com and CIO.com. Once you have found an appropriate project, you will write a brief summary of the project in a word doc. You will then, in class, explain the project to the class and how it relates to the course. Your explanation and written summary should include the name of the project, the organization, details of the purpose of the project, details of the system or processes replaced by the new system, the timetable of the project, whether the project is successful, and any other insights you may have. You will be graded on your presentation and your written summary.
Duplicate projects will not be accepted. Please check to make sure that your article has not already been posted.
