To truly appreciate the arts and the art world you must physically see art and learn about the history of art. In this paper, tell the reader about your experience at the museum you visited. I am looking for you to tell me about your perspective of the importance of art, especially regarding a trailblazer from history. Tell the reader what you got out of the artwork that resonated with you.
OPTIONS:
Denver Arts Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, University of Colorado Art Museum, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, etc.
If you find an option not listed above, please verify with your instructor to validate the museum.
Colorado is filled with art museums so this should be easy to do – but you’d be surprised at how many students try to pass off random museums as art museums. So I will NOT count something like the Colorado Railroad Museum. Failure to go to an ACTUAL art museum will result in a 0.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proper formatting with your name, class period, and semester
Name of art museum
Date attended and time spent
At least 1 typed full page (double spaced)
Must not exceed 2 pages
CONCEPTUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Your thoughts regarding the experience
The importance of this art museum
Talk about one artist you found that resonated with you. Discuss what that artist does in their craft. You will have to do some personal research on that artist. Describe the artist’s artwork through your words.
This artist does not have to be alive or dead – as long as it is an artist you found in the museum.
ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENTS:
Attach a document related to your attendance. This can be a receipt, brochure, ticket, a photo of yourself next to the artwork, etc. as long as it proves your attendance.
