The focus of this Capstone Paper is to propose a resolution to a contemporary social and criminal justice issue- The issue that I have chosen is about “Social Media and the Impacts that it has on the Criminal Justice system”. This paper MUST be in academic voice- avoid using casual language, try to lessen use of words such as However, Thus, Moreover, Nonetheless, Therefore, hence, make declarative sentences, Be concise, use evidence
Must be at a minimum of 15 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA 7th edition .Must use at least 10 U.S. scholarly and/or credible sources must not be older than 10 years from this year, at least four of which must be found in the Library, or the course text. No dot.com websites. (Uploaded Chapter 6-10 of the course textbook). You may consider referencing documentaries, contemporary news reports, multimedia, and interviews with professionals in the field. Cite your sources within the text of your paper and on the reference page. Please use the attached template and follow how to format paper especially with titles/headers.

1. Create a clear thesis statement that identifies your social and criminal justice issue. (The thesis statement is located in the introductory paragraph, almost always at the end of that paragraph. It usually consists of a single sentence. the writer’s opinion or claim about that topic; i.e., it provides a specific focus for the reader).
2. Summarize your chosen social and criminal justice issue in approximately one to two pages.
3. Describe what makes this an issue.
4. Provide data to show how this issue has made an impact on society.
5. Explain which social justice principles need to be addressed and why.
6. Detail the cultural and diversity issues present in your chosen social and criminal justice problem.
7. Describe how addressing your chosen issue contributes to the goal of a more just society.
8. Analyze the empirical research on your chosen topic.
9. Propose a possible resolution to your chosen social and criminal justice issue.
10. Evaluate which branches of the criminal justice system are impacted/involved and how they either help or hinder the issue.
11. Analyze how the criminal and social justice theories (in relation to the United States Constitution) and landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions impact your chosen issue and support your resolution.
12. Examine how the judiciary, corrections, and law enforcement systems address social equality, solidarity, human rights, and overall fairness for all and how these essential concepts impact your issue and resolution.
13. Evaluate how poverty, racism, religion and other sociocultural variables may apply to contemporary social and criminal justice by drawing information among the fields of, but not limited to, criminology, law, philosophy, psychology, science, and sociology.
