Extra Credit (20 points): At the Battle of Thermopylae, the Spartans led by Leonidas, held up the Persians for a number of days and inflicted devastating losses on Xerxes’ forces. a) List four statements that Herodotus makes about the Spartan tactics/strategy during the battle. b) What was the statement that Dieneces the Spartan made when told that the Persians would fill the sky with arrows.
