The purpose of engaging in brain activities is to create new and strengthen synapses by practising activities that are new to
you and that create and repair neural pathways and improve your capabilities.
You will have been introduced to brain activities each week, up to and including Week 12. You have been practicing,
monitoring and documenting the effects of these activities on your own using the Sample Diary.
The purpose of the Brain and Learning Research Assignment is to create a final report based on two specific brain fitness
activities.
You can choose activities that you’ve never done before, or you can choose an activity that you enjoy but do it more often
and add new components. You can also choose a good activity for brain neuroplasticity that was not used in this course if
you have one.
In order to give your brain a workout, as we have learned, practice should be daily – a minimum of five or 10 minutes a day
is ideal, (a short time every day or every other day is better than leaving your brain without the activity for several days in a
row). However, you are the scientist here and this is your experiment. Your frequency is your choice.
