PICO and Evidence Paper
Citations must be appropriate, meaning you need to paraphrase. Using the author ideas BUT putting them in your own words. Then you cite (author, and year).
Direct quotes should be used minimally. No more than 3 direct quotes can be used in this paper. When you direct quote it can be no longer than 40 words and must have quotation marks around the words and a citation after with (author, year, and page number). See pages 270-272 in your APA 7th edition manual.
Written in paragraph form except for bullet three, please answer the following using your own words:
Introduction (no heading) Please state what this paper is about (one paragraph).
The problem with the nursing clinical issue that you chose, why this issue in particular and explain why it is important to nursing practice (Two paragraphs should be sufficient)
Write out your PICO Elements and the PICO Question
Explain which electronic databases you used (One paragraph) and four search terms you used
What evidence did you find and how does it relate to your PICO question (Find two research articles) Summarize in your own words this section (three paragraphs)
Purpose for Change of Clinical Issue Proposed solution: What is the basis for believing that this PICO question should be researched and contribute to the solution of the problem? (one to two paragraphs).
Conclusion (summarize the paper and what you learned in one paragraph)
