For this assignment, you will complete a check-up of your medicine cabinet and that of an elderly family
member, neighbor, or friend. You will prepare a document, 2-3 pages in length, containing information
described below.
Consider that a person may keep their medications, herbal supplements, and vitamins in a bathroom
medicine cabinet or in the kitchen, or perhaps someplace else. Be sure to include all medications,
prescribed and over-the-counter, as well as drops, ointments, etcetera.
In addition, you are to develop a teaching plan about medication storage and organization as well as
medication information to share with the person you chose (elderly person). Attach the plan to your
paper.

2. Understand why expired medications are dangerous.
3. Describe what should be contained in a well-stocked medicine cabinet

a. List the medications that were contained in both medicine cabinets.
b. Look up the medications and provide a brief description of these medications.
c. What should be contained in a well-stocked medicine cabinet?
d. Explain why expiration dates are important and how expired medications could be harmful.
Conclusion:
a. What did you learn from this assignment?
b. What did the person you chose learn from you?
c. How did the person feel about you helping you complete this assignment?
d. What surprised you?
e. Was either medicine cabinet considered “well-stocked”? Why/Why not?
f. You may add any other information that you feel is pertinent to this assignment.
Please state that I only take seasonal allergies medication like Zyrtec, and vitamins such as Vitamin C , B12 , and fish oil. Supplements such as Ora Prebiotic and probiotics, Biotins for hair, skin and nails, and I take powder herbs like pearl. I also take Elderberries in different forms for immune booster.
