Each learning cell will consist of a Primary Text (in Translation) and a Secondary Text (Scholarly
Assessment of the Primary Text). You are required to read both. Your Review, which you will
submit, will be two pages in length (500-750 words), 12-point Times New Roman font, and
double spaced. The review will be of the SECONDARY TEXT, that is you will need to assess
what the author is trying to tell you about the Primary Text, what is the scholar trying to explain,
clarify and criticize. Then you will ask 3 questions about the Primary Text in light of the scholars’
assessment. The questions cannot be in a yes or no format, which means that if you ask the question
to a fellow student it should generate a discussion. Please make sure that you structure the
questions clearly and that you offer enough details and references to the Primary Text so that the
person trying to answer the question understands what you are referring to.
